Itinerary
DAY 1: NATIVE LAMAS
- Reception at the appropriate time and transfer from airport to hotel
- 3:00 pm Pick-up and departure to Lamas, located 25 km from Tarapoto. An ancient town descended from the Chankas, preserving ancestral traditions and customs
- Visit to the main square
- Visit to the charming Lamas Castle
- Visit to the traditional native neighborhood of Kwechwa Wayku
- Approximately 7:00 pm Arrival in Tarapoto
DAY 2: FULL DAY LAGUNA AZUL
- Breakfast at the hotel
- 08:30 am Pick-up and departure to Laguna Azul, 53 km from Tarapoto, crossing the Huallaga River by ferry and continuing to the town of Sauce (approx. 2-hour journey)
- Boat ride on Laguna Azul
- Tasting of exotic regional drinks
- Arrival at the tourist recreation area by the lagoon with free time for swimming and optional activities (jet ski, canopy, banana boat, etc.)

- Approximately 6:00 pm Arrival in Tarapoto
DAY 3: FULL DAY ALTO MAYO

- 07:30 am Pick-up and departure to Moyobamba, located 113 km from Tarapoto (approx. 2-hour journey)
- Visit to the orchid nursery with the largest variety in the region
- Tasting of regional drinks
- Visit to the source of the Tioyacu River (Perla Wasi) and its attractive sculptures

- Brief visit to a coffee factory with tasting

DAY 4: FULL DAY CARPISHUYACU WATERFALL

- 09:00 am Pick-up and departure to the waterfall, located 34 km from Tarapoto (approx. 45 minutes)
- 20-minute hike to the Tiracu stream and crossing on a rustic wooden raft
- Enjoy the thermal bathing pools
- Continue hiking for approximately 25 more minutes (up and down rustic stairs) to reach the waterfalls
- Free time to swim and enjoy the surroundings
- Lunch at a local village restaurant
- Approximately 4:30 pm Arrival in Tarapoto
DAY 5: AHUASHIYACU WATERFALLS
- Breakfast at the hotel
- 10:00 am Pick-up and departure to the Ahuashiyacu Waterfalls, located 14 km from Tarapoto on the road to Yurimaguas (approx. 30 minutes)
- Stop at the Alto Ahuashiyacu natural viewpoint, offering spectacular views of mountains and pristine jungle surrounded by lush vegetation
- 10-minute walk to the waterfall, which drops 40 meters into a natural pool ideal for a refreshing swim
- 1:00 pm Arrival at the hotel
DAY 6: TARAPOTO CITY TOUR
- Breakfast at the hotel
- 09:00 am Pick-up and departure to the URKUS Wildlife Rescue Center to observe the species housed at this important conservation site
- Visit to La Orquídea chocolate factory to learn about its chocolate-making process
- Visit to Puros del Oriente cigar factory, where cigars are handcrafted by skilled women artisans
